How to Set Up and Configure the Box Connector
All BA Insight connectors can be downloaded from the Upland Right Answers Portal under Knowledge > BA Insight > Product Downloads > Connector. This connector is installed with the same generic steps as any BA Insight connector. You must satisfy the Prerequisites for your connector before installing. The configuration specifics are detailed below.
Connector Installation Specifics
Requests to your source system Your Source System is the repository where your data is stored (data to be indexed). This repository is managed by applications such as: - SharePoint O365 - SharePoint 2013/16/19 - Documentum - File Share - OpenText - Lotus Notes - etc. Your Source System repository can also be a database such as SQL or Oracle. from BA Insight Connector Framework or Connectivity Hub come through the connector web service.
- For best performance, the connector web service should be installed on a windows server “near” the source system.
- If necessary, it can be installed on any of the app servers in your SharePoint farm.
- Connector site bindings are set in IIS
Verify the Installation
To verify the installation, follow these steps:
- Enter the URL to the DataConnector, in the following format: http://<host>:<port number>/dataconnector.asmx, where <host> is the FQDN, Host name, or IP of the server where the connector is installed, and <port number> is the port number chosen during setup.
- A DataConnector page appears, confirming that the installation was successful.
Box App
Add the Connection Information
The following steps add a connection Connection defines the how Connectivity Hub connects to your Source System (which contains your documents, graphics, etc.,). Your Connection includes identifying elements such as: URL of the BA Insight web service connector you are using, (File Share connector, SharePoint Online connector, etc.), Authentication mode, User Accounts and Credentials, Database information (for database connectors) to the Connectivity Hub. This connection information allows Connectivity Hub to access your source system via the connector.
- Navigate to the Connectivity Hub.
- On the “Connections” tab, select Add New > Web Service Connection.
- Enter the connection data. See Connect to a Source System in the Connectivity Hub documentation for more information.
- Click Connect or Refresh Web service. The page re-loads with additional options.
- Complete the information to connect to the Box connector.
- Enter the Authorization ID used during the authorization of the Box application as discussed in the preceding chapter.

- Configure the rest of the connector fields under the other tabs, as appropriate.
