2021R2 Resolved Issues

Below is a summary of the main issues addressed by this release. The 2021R2 version of Eclipse PPM will be deployed to customers on December 4th. Individual customer cases will be updated by the support team through the portal. Cases will be closed out with customers upon confirmation that the issue has been resolved to your satisfaction.

Administration

  • Fixed an issue on the "Bulk Import" page that prevented the grid from displaying values. Type, Status, Priority, Category, and Resource Role would not display in the table. The issue has been fixed; the correct values are now displayed in the Bulk Import grid. (623545)

Bulk Import

  • Fixed an issue that ignored the "User Group" column from an import file while importing Resources in bulk. If the import file contained a value for a user's User Group, it would not appear in Eclipse PPM:

    This issue has been fixed; the User Group values can now be imported. (707835, 712651)

  • Fixed an issue that prevented certain "Flag" type Task Properties from properly being updated from import files. This issue has been fixed; "Flag" type Task Property values can once again be imported. (760505)

Email

  • Fixed an issue that caused email content from Eclipse PPM to appear in a different language. This occurred because Eclipse PPM emails were sent out without a header, causing clashes with particular recipient servers. This issue has been resolved; Eclipse PPM emails are now sent using a charset: UTF-8 header, which will prevent these errors from occurring. (645606)

  • Fixed a bug that prevented certain users from receiving email notifications when they were "mentioned" in comments. When a comment was created with the "Notify people I've mentioned via email" checkbox selected, the mentioned users would not receive the email notification. This bug has been fixed; all mentioned users now receive email notifications when the checkbox is selected. (694284, 767878, 789139)

Online Help

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Online Help button to redirect to the Upland Community when the user was on the Administration page:

    This issue has been fixed; the Online Help button on the Administration page once again links to the Administration page in the Online Help. (636971)

  • Fixed an issue that caused a 404 error message when the Online Help button was selected on the Work Plan page from the Project Menu:

    This issue has been fixed; the Online Help button on the Work Plan page once again links to the Create / Import a New Work Plan page. (767347)

  • Fixed an issue with the links from the Create and Manage a Bar Graph page. Each link should have redirected to a page from the Upland Analytics Help Center. Instead, they caused a 404 error message. This issue has been fixed; the links once again redirect to pages in the Upland Analytics Help Center. (771696)

Project

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Projects from being saved. When users attempted to save a Project, they would be met with an error message. Also, a validation error prevented users from editing the Work Plans of new Projects. This issue was caused by a custom procedure. This issue has been fixed; the original procedure has been restored and Projects can once again be saved. (686066)

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from responding to Comments via email. When users attempted to reply to a Comment that they were "@" mentioned in, their response would fail to process. An error message would display claiming that the user's ID was inactive when it was not. This issue has been resolved; users can once again reply to Comments via email.   • Fixed an issue that prevented users from updating the statuses of their Projects. With the initial release of Eclipse PPM 2021R2, the "Status" drop-down menu and the "Status Update" textbox from the "Update Status" panel were greyed-out and uneditable:

    The issue has been resolved; users can once again edit their Project statuses. Project Templates

  • Fixed an issue with Project Requests from Project Templates that populated the "Requested by:" field with the submitter's login email on the Request Form. This field should display the user email from the "Identification" portion of a Resource's profile.

    Also, the submitter would not be added to the approved Project as a Resource when "Add submitter to project using this resource role" was selected:

    Both of these problems have been fixed; the "Requested by:" field now displays the proper email and the submitter is added as a Resource when the checkbox is selected.

Reports

  • Fixed a bug that caused the "Baseline Modified" column of a Project Activity report to show dates that were unrelated to any Baseline updates. A Baseline modification would unnecessarily be triggered if a Resource was added to a task, if a task was renamed, or if a tasks had its "% Complete" modified. This bug has been fixed; the "Baseline Modified" column will only update after the Baseline has been edited. (677080)

  • Fixed a bug that caused an additional "1" to dates on reports. Within Eclipse PPM, these dates would appear incorrect by one day. This issue has been fixed; the unwanted digits no longer appear on reports and the correct dates are displayed in the application. (688438)

Timesheets

  • Fixed an issue that would not pre-select any of the Loading Preferences on the Timesheets of certain users. Also, error messages would occur once the user clicked away from the drop-down menu:

    This issue has been fixed; certain users can now set their Loading Preferences without any errors. (696835)

Upland Analytics

  • Fixed an issue that prevented second-layer sorting from sorting data. This issue has been fixed with the latest version of Upland Analytics. (451564)

Work Planner

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the order of Task Categories on the Administration page from replicating onto the Task Category drop-down menus on Work Planners. This issue has been fixed; the Task Category order from the Administration page can be seen on Work Planner drop-down menus. (630948)

  • Fixed an issue that caused Task Property values to be erased when another Project's Work Planner was opened and saved. This issue has been fixed; Task Property values no longer disappear when another Work Planner is opened and saved.

  • Fixed an issue that hid Task Predecessor details from users while they were trying to add a new one. When the "Predecessor" tab was selected on the "Edit" menu of a Task, the only visible columns were "Link Type" and "Project":

    This issue has been fixed; the other columns are once again visible from the "Predecessor" tab. (769670, 771204, 790131, 793610)

  • Fixed an issue that produced an error after the Gantt style was switched from "No Gantt" to either "Standard Gantt" or "Tracking Gantt." This switch would produce the following error:

    This issue has been fixed; the Gantt style can now be switched without producing an error. (689749)

  • Fixed an issue that caused an error when a user attempted to change a Resource's allocation with the Detailed Time window:

    This issue has been fixed; allocations can once again be updated through the Detailed Time window. (688285) (795323)

  • Fixed an issue that prevented calendar durations from adjusting after non-weekend, non-working exceptions were added. This issue has been fixed; the duration will automatically adjust whenever these exceptions are added. (773275)
