Outbound Routing Rules
You can configure special outbound routing rules for outbound messages on the server. These rules determine how messages are processed for delivery. You can route outbound messages to the following destinations.
-
Folders - Using an outbound routing rule that specifies a folder as a destination for messages meeting the criteria in the rule, you can specify that the server routes outbound messages to the folder.
-
Network printers - Using an outbound routing rule that specifies a network printer as the destination for messages meeting the criteria in the rule, you can specify that the server routes messages to the printer.
-
SMTP mail recipient - Using the SMTP connector with appropriate routing rules, you can configure the server to route outbound messages to SMTP mail users. You also can configure DID/DTMF lookup for outbound messages that are routed to the SMTP connector.
Delivery Priority
Users can set an outbound message delivery priority when a message is created. The delivery priority can be:
- Low
- Normal
- High
The delivery priority impacts the order in which the server processes outbound messages. High priority messages are processed first followed by normal and then low priority messages. Outbound messages are processed in the order they arrive once they reach the modem server, email server, or other delivery mechanism.
