Using iManage WorkWeb for HP CR Client Users

The WorkSite extension is software that integrates directly into the iManage Cloud web interface known as WorkWeb. The extension enables iManage users to perform various tasks utilizing HP CR and iManage functionality. The WorkSite extension must be set up by an Administrator before iManage users can see and work with the appropriate HP CR iManage related context menus and options.

Note: All HP CR Client users who previously used the iManage WorkWeb WorkSite extension are required to clear their browser cache and cookies if your company is upgrading the HP CR Client to the latest version. This is to ensure that the latest installation and configuration run properly after the upgrade is complete. Contact your Administrator about whether your company is upgrading the HP CR Client.

Using iManage WorkWeb

iManage users can perform the following tasks after the WorkSite extension has been set up.

Upload Scan

Upload Scan is used to specify a destination’s delivery details for a Matter or folder. The details can include the filename, Document Management System (DMS) properties, comments, security settings and more. The details can be saved as a Distribution or Routing Sheet for use in HP CR Client.

To upload a scan

Open iManage WorkWeb.
Select the My Matters location and appropriate folder.
Right-click the folder and select Upload Scan on the menu. The Upload Scan Properties dialog box appears.
Specify the required properties in the New Document Properties pane; for example, Title, Author, Comments, Type, and any other properties needed.
Select Show More, if necessary and specify any additional Custom properties needed.
Click Select. The HP CR Client options appear.
Select one of the following options.
- Create Reservation – creates a distribution that can be used in the HP CR Client.
- Create Routing Sheet – creates a distribution with a Routing Sheet that can be downloaded, printed, and used to deliver hard copy documents from a scanner on your network.

8. Complete the steps based on your selection above.

9. Select Save.

Import With Copied Profile

Import With Copied Profile is used to import/copy the destination’s delivery details and properties of an existing document to another document. The iManage user can then change any of the initial delivery details and the properties of the other document, if necessary. The details can be saved as a Distribution or Routing Sheet for use in theHP CR Client.

To import with a copied profile

Open iManage WorkWeb.
Find and right-click on any document.
Select Import with Copied Profile on the menu. The Import With Copied Profile dialog box appears.
Change the properties as needed.
Select Save. The HP CR Client options appear.
Select one of the following options.
- Create Reservation – creates a Distribution that can be used in theHP CR Client.
- Create Routing Sheet – creates a Distribution with a Routing Sheet that can be downloaded, printed, and used to deliver hard copy documents from a scanner on your network.

Complete the steps based on your selection above.

Send to HP CR

Send to HP CR is used to pull a document from iManage WorkWeb and attach it to a Distribution in the HP CR Client. The distribution can be set up to deliver to any configured server destination.

To send to HP CR

Open iManage WorkWeb.
Find and right-click on any document.
Select Send to HP CR on the menu. The HP CR Client options appear.
Select one of the following options.
- Advanced opens the Create Distribution page with the document you selected as an attachment. You can create a distribution and send.
- Send Using Existing Distribution opens the My Distributions page and lists the document you selected. You can select an existing distribution and send.

Complete the steps based on your selection above.
