Workflows

Note: Workflows are only available to Localytics users with Localytics Creator permissions. Talk to your account Admin for help getting set up, or reach out to our Support team.

The Workflow Builder enables marketers to create personalized, multistep workflows that are triggered by a user's behavior. You can design each operation to branch out and adapt based on how your users are interacting with each message.

With the Workflow Builder, you can go beyond sending standalone messages. Start creating immersive experiences that reach across messaging channels to provide a unique customer experience to each user.

Getting started

To access the Workflow Builder, you'll need to have an Enterprise Marketing subscription with Localytics. Reach out to your Account Manager if you want to upgrade your current subscription to use the Workflow Builder.

Note: Not sure who your Account Manager is? Feel free to reach out to our Support team and we'll point you in the right direction.

We recommend updating your app to SDK 5.1 or higher to support the triggered messages in workflows. While you can use workflows with earlier SDK versions, 5.1+ processes events and gets your messages out to users faster. For more information, see SDK Changelog in the Developer documentation.

Before using the Workflow Builder, you'll need to complete a one-time setup of app groups and global events. For more information, see App groups and Global events.

After you've set up app groups and global events, it's time to create a new workflow. For an example, see the Abandoned Cart use case.
