PowerSteering is a highly configurable, top-down, cloud-based Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution that enables business leaders and project management offices (PMOs) to optimize project portfolios, balance capacity against demand, improve financial-based decision making, and align execution of projects to strategies and objectives across large organizations.
Before you get started
Whether you are new to PowerSteering, new to your team, or moving into a new role, there are a variety of ways you can get started with PowerSteering.
- Bookmark your PowerSteering URL using your browser.
- Navigating the many features of your PowerSteering instance.
- Verify you have your browser configured properly.
- Customize the Home page to quickly easy access commonly used features and content.
- Setting the default language and locale for your personal instance.
- Update your user information.
Where do I start?
Depending on circumstances, how you get started in PowerSteering can vary.
If you are new to PowerSteering, we recommend you do the following:
- Take a tour of PowerSteering. If you have never worked with PowerSteering, you may want to familiarize yourself with the general PowerSteering interface.
- Focus on the PowerSteering features your company uses most. Every company uses PowerSteering a bit differently. Check with your team to find out what features you will use most.
- Use this Help Center. Once you know more about the tasks you'll be performing, search for instructions on those tasks in the Help. Searching is the easiest and most efficient way to find help in the Help Center.
If you are an existing PowerSteering user, you may want to do the following:
- Review the release notes to learn what new features have been added in the latest release.

Join the PowerSteering Community
You can find a variety of product related information, including information on new releases, post and reply to discussions on PowerSteering topics with other PowerSteering customers, submit features requests, and submit or view Technical Support cases in the PowerSteering Community. You must register to join the PowerSteering Community.
