Edit Fields in Field Management

Field Management is used to customize how tags and custom fields appear on PowerSteering objects.

1. Click Field Management

  1. On the Icon Bar click the Admin button.
  2. Click Configuration to expand the menu, then click Field[Management.

2. Select Object

  • Click the name of the object type that you want to edit fields for.

3. Reorder Independent Fields

  1. Click the dots next to the field(s) you want to move and drag and drop it into the desired sequence. Fields can be moved into or out of a group.
  2. Click Save.

Required: If selected, the field will be required. Users will not be able to save changes unless all required fields are completed. This option is available in Field Management for all fields even if the Required (default) option was selected when the tag or custom field was created.

Locked:If selected, users will not be able to edit the field. This option is available in Field Management for all fields even if the Locked (default) option was selected when the tag or custom field was created.

Hide if empty: If selected, the field will only be visible in the Custom Details section of the Summary page when it contains data.

Visibility: Allows you to use the Formula Builder to define when the tag, custom field, or grouping should be visible. See Edit Visibility of Tag or Custom Field for more information.

4. Reorder Dependent Tags

  1. Click the dots next to the dependent tag(s) you want to move and drag and drop it into the desired sequence. Dependent tags move together and cannot be separated from one another.
  2. Click Save.

5. Add/Remove Fields From Groups

  1. Click the dots next to the field(s) you want to move into or out of a group and drag and drop it into the desired sequence.
  2. Click Save.

6. View Confirmation Message

  • Click Ok to acknowledge the confirmation message.

7. View Fields

View Fields

  • View updated field layout.
