Grant Rights to Role Skill Association

Users with the Create right to the Role Skill Association permission (Setup > Workforce Planning), defined for their Security Profile can associate Skills to Roles from the Roles Edit page. For further details refer to Associating Skills to Roles.

This article details how to grant the rights to the Role Skill Association.

Note: Your PSA page may differ slightly or significantly from what you see in this article, due to being on a different version, your organization having opted for different modules, having been granted different security rights, AND/OR terminology/naming convention having been modified to suit your respective organization. But, essentially the features/functionality referred to, herein, are still the same across the board.

  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
  3. From the menu click System.
  4. From the System page click the Security button to access the Security setup page.

  5. Click the expand button () located against a User Security Role Placeholder, if applicable to view the available Security Roles.
  6. Select a Security Profile.

    Select a Security Role.

  7. Upon the Security Profile page displaying, select Setup from the menu.
  8. From the available options select Workforce Planning.
  9. Depending on your requirement select the required Modify/Create/Delete permission(s) for the Role Skill Association rights.
    1. Select the View right to allow users to view the Associated Skills page when creating/modifying a Role (Setup > Organization).
    2. Select the Modify right to allow users to modify the Associated Skills when creating/modifying a Role (Setup > Organization).
    3. Select the Create right to allow users to associate Skills to a Role (Setup > Organization).
    4. Select the Delete right to allow users to delete the associated Skills to a Role (Setup > Organization).
  10. Select Save.
