Reports

Within Reports, you can run a Upland Qvidian variety of standard Upland Qvidian reports. You may also have custom reports created by other users. The Reports menu icon is only visible to users who have been granted permission. You can only view reports that are public or have been assigned to you.

Reports are based on Report Views. A Report View is a Structured Query Language (SQL) query which queries tables within your Upland Qvidian database each time a report is run. When you add a new report, you can choose from existing Report Views or create a new Report View. Once a report has been added, you can run the report and view it in the grid or export to Microsoft Excel. The report grabs data each time it is run. The next time you run the report in Upland Qvidian, the results will reflect the activity up to that point. If you want to save the results of a report run at a specific time, export and save the report in Excel.

Note: If you have any questions on the tables that SQL queries are run against in Upland Qvidian, contact Upland Qvidian Support and request a copy of the latest Logical Data Model that shows those tables, the columns of data stored in each table, and how the tables are related.

Reports are useful when you want to extract summary data or expand upon larger amounts of data, from different areas in app. There are four main categories represented in standard reports:

  • Events: System Administrators can use reports to identify trends of events, Corresponding event audits must be enabled for results.
  • Access: System Administrators can use reports to review user application permissions and library security.
  • Created Documents: System Administrators can use reports to review Created Documents activity including details within the documents, such as merge code values and selections.
  • Content: Content Managers can use reports to view a summary of the Library content, including status and usage, to detect areas that should be reviewed
