What is the purpose of setting up segmentation?
The purpose of segmentation is to map the different Tenrox OBS (Organization Breakdown Structures) and WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) objects to specific G/L account segment codes in Great Plains. With segmentation, an account stored in the General Ledger (G/L) is defined by a set of segment codes. The segment codes can represent various account structures, such as actual account numbers, divisions or regions.
