About Messages

The Messages node (folder) on the Server Administrator tree lists all messages processed on the Upland AccuRoute server. Messages are categorized as in process or in history and appear in the Messages > In Process and History subfolders.

In Process and History Subfolders

  • In Process - Lists messages submitted to the server and processed for delivery to its intended recipients. You can view message properties listed in this folder. You can also cancel messages intended for delivery. See Messages In Process for more information.
  • History - Lists messages the server finished processing. Messages are delivered to recipients while others may fail delivery. You can view the message properties listed in this folder. You can also resend or delete messages. See Messages In History for more information.

Other Message Types

Custom Views and Reports

You can use search filters to create custom views or reports that lists messages based on specific criteria. The custom views you create are saved in a new Messages > Custom View folder on the console tree. See Creating Custom Views for more information.

Note: The Custom View folder has the same name you used to save the custom view.

Inbound Messages

Inbound messages are sent to the server from a myriad of sources. Routing rules configured by you determine how these messages are processed and delivered.

Outbound Messages

Outbound messages from the server are delivered to a myriad of destinations. Routing rules configured by you, enabled by a user or policy determine how these messages are processed and delivered.

Notification Messages

Notification messages (emails) are generated by the server during significant events in a message's life cycle.

Test Messages

Test messages are used for testing and troubleshooting purposes.
