About Regular Expressions

The Regular Expressions feature found on the General tab is designed to detect a preset value in third party vendor bar­codes. Reg­ular Expressions allow Upland AccuRoute to support third party vendor barcodes without the need for software updates.

Configuring Regular Expressions

In the following example, the configuration instructions are for expense reports generated by INFOR™ Extensity software and routed to FileShare.

To configure Regular Expressions

  1. On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.
  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.
  3. Expand Configuration > Job Properties, then click System, User or your own Properties group.
  4. Double-click the property of interest. The Job Property page for that property opens.
  5. On the General tab, the selected property's metadata field name appears in the Name text box.
  6. At the Group text box, you either see System (which cannot be changed) or the other group (User or other). You can change the associated Group for non-System properties.
  7. On the Qualify tab, in the Formatting section, click New. The Property Formatting Actions page appears.
  8. At If input matches Regular Expression, enter the first few letters comprising the property name followed by *.

For example, you might create a message property ERID for Extensity reports. You will then select a DMS property mapping for the ERID prop­erty. In the Regular Expressions text box, you will enter ER* .

  1. At Then apply the following actions: click New. The Property Formatting Types page appears.
  2. Select the type of property formatter from the drop-down menu; for example, Upper or lower case. Click OK.
  3. The Property Formatting Action page opens. This page varies depending on the type of property formatter you just selected. Add appropriate values or select options of interest as they apply and click OK. To review or edit these values, select an action and click Properties.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Go to the Rules > Outbound node.
  6. On the Outbound rules page, create a new rule:
    • Right-click and select New > Rule.
    • In the Specify the Criteria for this Rule page, click the Add button.
    • Add criteria.
    • Click Next.
    • In the Specify the Actions to take for this Rule page, click the Add button.
    • Route to a connector.
    • Click Next.
    • From the Route to Connector drop-down, select FileShare on the Server.
    • Click the Advanced button to open Advanced Routing Options page.
    • Click the Custom Properties button and then select Custom Properties. Click Add.
    • On the Custom Property page, add the property of interest in the Name text box.
    • In the Value text box, enter: 3
  1. Click OK and Finish, as requested, to save your changes.

Any message generated by Extensity is detected by the preset barcode value and the message will be routed to a FileShare folder via the FileShare connector.
