About Modem Status
The Modem Status folder in the console tree allows you to view the status of all fax board channels associated with the server. For instructions on how to view the status, see Viewing the status of modem channels.
The information about each fax board channels includes the following.

Channel - The channel number on the fax board.

Mode - The mode configured for this channel. Values can be Send Only, Receive Only, or Send and Receive.

Status - The current status of the channel. Values can be:

Dialing - The channel is dialing the number in the destination field.

Sending - The channel is in the process of sending the fax.

Listening - The channel is listening for incoming calls.

Receiving - The channel is receiving an incoming call.

Idle - The channel is idle.

Stopped - The channel has been stopped. This can happen if the channel has been disabled or if there is a problem with the channel.

Initializing - The channel is being initialized.

Job ID - The job ID of the fax being processed.

Destination - The destination of the fax being processed.

Sender - The sender of the fax being processed.

Control File - The name of the file being processed.
The channels are organized in the Modem Status folder according to the Modem Server on the system where the fax board is installed. For example, all channels on the fax board installed on the SERVERWEST system are listed under SERVERWEST in Modem Status.
Tip: If you do not see a Modem Server listed under Modem Status, try detecting the channels on the fax board.
