About Server Dashboard Telco Channel Status
The Server Dashboard is a WebApps tool that Administrators can use to monitor the status of their server configuration in a live environment. It monitors and displays a server’s services, connectors, queues, compose engine states and the status of Telco channels in a color-coded format.
The Telco Channel status shows the following information.

Total number of available channels

Total number of free channels
-
Total number of sending channels
-
Total number of receiving channels
In addition to the statuses listed above, the color of the Free Channels changes based on the percentage of the total free channels. See table below.

Before you begin
Administrators must complete the following tasks.

Set up the Server Dashboard

Set up the Telco Channel Status
Setting up the Telco Channel status
The Server Monitor must be installed and configured to write to the Server Dashboard database before you can proceed with the Telco Channel status setup.
To set up the Telco Channel status

Open the Server Monitor.

Right-click the Server Monitor server name. The Server Monitor shortcut menu appears.

Select New > Telco Channel Status. The Create New Test Criteria wizard appears.

Select Next. Specify the action for the test.

Select the Add button.

Select Update Dashboard Database.

Select Next.

Select Finish.

Ensure the Update Dashboard Database action appears in the list.

Select Next. The Complete New Test Criteria wizard appears.

Use the default test name or specify a new name in the box and select Update.
Note: Specifying a new test name is optional.

Ensure the Enable this test check box is selected.

For optimal results, set Execute this test every (value) minute(s) to 1 minute.

For optimal results, set Execute the actions for a failed test every (value)…. to 1 minute.

Select Finish. The Telco Channel Status test appears in the Description details pane.
