SMS Unsub

SMS Unsub Lists allow you to ensure that your messages are not being sent to recipients who do not want to receive them. This is an important part of your SMS setup, and this documentation will take you through how to create your Unsub List and how to apply it.

SMS Unsub Table

Workspace>>Data Section>>SMS Unsub Lists Tab

You can access the unsub list interface in the 'Data' section via the header at the top of the screen, and then the using the 'SMS Unsub Lists' tab. Any existing SMS unsub lists for the workspace will be displayed here.

Create SMS Unsub

Firstly navigate to the SMS Unsub page: Workspace>>Data>>SMS Unsub Lists

Step 1: Initial Setup

Click "Create SMS Unsub List". This will take you to the initial setup form, which you need to complete and click save when finished.

Provide:

• SMS Unsub. List Name: should be memorable as it is its identifier in the platform
• Description: (not required) add information as to where and how this SMS Unsub should be used
• Owner User: this will default to you but can be changed by clicking "Select User"
• Visibility: decide whether the Unsub list is available to the specific workspace or all workspaces

Step 2: SMS Unsub Overview

After saving the initial setup form you will be taken to the SMS Unsub List overview. Here you can see the list's general information, provided in the initial setup, as well as:

• ID: the SMS Unsub List's ID number
• Record Count: the number of contacts in the SMS Unsub List

Adding Contacts

On the Overview tab you can also add contacts to your Unsub list.There are three different methods of adding contacts.

Singular Contact

Add the mobile number of the recipient you wish to add.

Multiple Contacts

Add multiple mobile numbers on separate lines, these will then all be added to the unsub list.

CSV of Contacts

Import a CSV of telephone contacts to be added to the unsub list.

Browse Tab

The Browse tab lets you look through all the numbers added to the unsub list.

Settings Tab

The settings tab allows you to change the basic settings of the SMS unsub list, as provided in the initial setup.

This can also be done by clicking the 'Edit' link, found in the top right corner of the SMS overview information.

Delete SMS Unsub List

Pressing this button empties and deletes numbers in one action.

Caution: This is not advised.

Empy SMS Unsub. List

Presssing this button empties the unsub list of all numbers.

Applying SMS Unsub Lists

SMS Unsub Lists are applied to the SMS Identity. This is done by our Projects team when setting up your Identity, and will be applied automatically to your messages when you create them in the Automation Program Builder.
