Viewing Split Test Reports

The split test report shows you the activity associated with each variant, sorted alphabetically by reference letter, allowing you to decide which variant to proceed with for your campaign.

Depending on your selected criteria, the variant results will be calculated as:

  • A percentage of opens or clicks over delivered, or

  • A percentage of clicks over opens.

Tip: hover over the variant score to see how it has been generated.

To see the full report for a variant, press the full report button.

Deciding which variant to send

The best performing variant will be highlighted. If two or more variants perform equally, Adestra will highlight the first one.

If you have chosen to launch automatically, the highlighted variant is the one that will be used for the final launch.

If you have not chosen to launch automatically:

  1. Press the launch this variant button to be taken to the campaign launch tab.

  2. Verify the variant you want to launch is selected.

  3. Launch as per the standard process for launching a campaign, i.e. define the launch time, etc.

Once your campaign has been launched, a campaign report will be available. Unless a date filter is applied, the report will show information for all of the combined activity. The individual launches will be listed below the summary.

Tip: Selecting a launch from the table will display a report for that launch alone.

Closing a split test

The split test will automatically close once you launch the full campaign.

If you decide not to launch with any of the variants, you can manually close the split test using the close split test button.

Caution: manually closing a split test will prevent the final launch from starting.

You can still view the split test report after the split test has closed, via the launches tab in the page tab bar at the top of the page and the split tests tab.
