List Reporting

Note: This is an On Demand feature. If you would like more information about this feature, contact your account manager at account.management@adestra.com.

The list reporting interface allows users to access statistics for individual lists, this includes reports on campaign performance, list size history and domain breakdowns. Using these reports users are able to monitor and manage list activity and gain an understanding of how their lists are changing over time.

On this page:

Note: To be able to view reporting, check the 'Record History' box in the list's settings.

The report can be found under the data section of a workspace, within the report tab for a list. Under the Reports tab will be Summary data, an Activity graph, List history and a list of top domains.

Summary

The Summary tab will give users an overview of campaign activity for the selected list. This includes delivery statistics and the data for any actions performed by contacts on that list, such as opens, clicks and unsubscribes. For more information on the events reported within the summary, refer to the Campaign report and Benchmark Reporting topics.

Activity

The Activity tab displays a graph showing list size over time, allowing users to monitor list subscribes and unsubscribes and the reasons for these actions. Using the drop down selection box, the graph can display data from the past month up to the last 12 months by day, week or month. At each point defined by the drop down box, for example each month, will display exact numbers and the date for that record. This gives users a visual representation to help identify the rise and fall of list contacts across various time periods.

Below the graph, there is a table of data showing the number of contacts that performed each activity by date and time. Unsubs will be displayed in red and those contacts added to a list will be displayed in green.

List sources

The List source report allows users to identify the sources from which any list activity has been generated. The possible sources are:

  • Adestra: subscribing/removing set of data to/from another (e.g. "Add to List")
  • API: using an API method to add/remove from a list
  • Custom: running a custom script to add/remove contacts to/from lists
  • Contact: interaction with form, or other similar, and adds/removes themselves from a list
  • Imports: importing a CSV through Adestra, either in the app or via scheduled imports
  • Administrator

Clicking the number totals for any source will display the contact list for those individuals.

List History

This report displays all the individual changes that have been made to the selected list, the data includes time and dates, contact ID, Email, Source and the action itself.

Clicking the Contact ID will display the contact's profile where users can find various personal information such as list history, events and transactions.

Domains

The domain report will show all the domains that are included within the list, the top 10 will be displayed as a pie chart.
