Database connections

The Database Connection page allows you to connect to the database that contains the data tables that you want to work with in Analytics.

Caution: Analytics allows for great flexibility in managing database connections but it is only recommended for users with knowledge and understanding of the configuration and its administration.

Use this page to do the following:

• Add a new database connection.

• Edit an existing database connection.

• Delete an existing database connection.

• View the following database connection information:

  • Name: The name of the database connection.

  • Database Engine: The type of the database engine.

  • Server Name: The name of the server.

  • Database Name: The name of the database.

  • Database User: The user who created the database connection.

  • Last Modified By: The user who last modified the database connection.

  • Last Modified On: The date on which the database connection was last modified.

  • Connection Status: The database connection status. The color changes to indicate the status of the connection as follows:

    • Green: The database is connected.

    • Red: The database is not connected.

    • Yellow: The database is being created.

• Download the list of database connections.

• Apply filters to the table.

• Refresh the table.
