Feature Description
Microsoft Search Graph updates

The Microsoft Search Graph backends were reworked in this release. Additionally, this release introduces a new Microsoft Search Graph backend: Microsoft Search Persons.

The following backends are now available:

  • Microsoft Search items

    • This combines and replaces the Microsoft Search External Items and the Microsoft Search Drive Items backends from the previous version of SmartHub. If you were using either of these backends, you will need to remove them and add the Microsoft Search Items backend after upgrading.

    • This backend allows you to query multiple entity types, including driveItem, list, listItem, site, and externalItem.

  • Microsoft Search Calendar

    • This replaces the Microsoft Search Events backend. If you were using this backend in the previous version of SmartHub, you will need to remove it and add the Microsoft Search Calendar backend after upgrading.

    • This backend allows you to query a user's primary calendar for calendar events.

  • Microsoft Search Emails

    • This replaces the Microsoft Search Message backend. If you were using this backend in the previous version of SmartHub, you will need to remove it and add the Microsoft Search Emails backend after upgrading.

    • This backend allows you to query email messages from a user's mailbox.

  • Microsoft Search Chat Messages

    • This backend allows you to query a user's chat messages.

  • Microsoft Search Persons

    • This backend is new in this release of SmartHub.

    • This backend allows you to query for information on a person.

Bug fixes

The following issues and bugs have been resolved in this release:

  • If you had SmartHub embedded in an iFrame, SmartHub would fail during authentication.

  • If you used SmartHub with a SharePoint Online Hub, the authentication page would continuously loop.

  • The Sharepoint OnPremise backend would not accept certain valid certificates.

  • If a numeric refiner was applied to an Azure backend, the query would fail.

  • On Elasticsearch v8.x, sorting refiner values by labels was not allowed.

  • Checkboxes for the hierarchical refiner would disappear when other refiner values were selected.

  • Refiners did not work if the 'And' operator was enabled (data-enable-toggling-operator = true).

  • If you searched for a term that appeared in the title of a result, the tooltip for that result's title would display markup tags in the highlighted terms.

  • When using a custom Microsoft Excel export template, the exported results were inaccurate.

  • If you performed a search and then switched to a new tab, the page number and the sort property would persist between tabs.
