About Notification Messages

The HP CR server can generate email notification messages for all important events in the life of a message. Notification messages can be sent to the message sender, the approval manager or to the message recipient.

Notification file types

Message body - Can be in OMTPL, RTF, DOC, HTM, or HTML file format.
Subject line - Should be in the WTX file format.

Examples of notification messages

Here are some scenarios where the server will generate a notification message.

An inbound message is routed to you. The server notifies you that you have received an inbound message.
Depending on how the notification template is configured, the inbound message may be attached to the notification message, or the notification message might contain a link to the Web Client where you can view the message.
You send an outbound message and request notification if your message fails. Now if the message fails, the server sends a notification message to your email account and stops processing the message.
You send an outbound message and request a preview before the server delivers the message to the intended recipients. The server notifies you when the message has been composed and is available for preview.
