Global settings

Global settings manage the behavior of predefined functions in Upland Qvidian. You can modify these settings to change your users' experience and customize Upland Qvidian based on your organization's preferences and needs. For example, you can change global settings to control the visibility of the project, the types of files you can load to the library, the Sender field of emails generated by Upland Qvidian, and the behavior of the Save to Clipboard function.

Note: You must have the Manage Application Settings user permission granted to have access to global settings.

Caution: Global settings affect all users and may have a significant impact on your Upland Qvidian instance. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a Upland Qvidian representative.

Modify a global setting

  1. Go to Administration > Application Settings > Global Settings.
  2. Locate the global setting you want to edit and use one of the following methods
    • Hover over the global setting you would like to edit and click the Edit Edit icon icon. The "Edit Global Setting" dialog displays.
    • Select the checkbox of the desired global setting and click the Edit Edit icon icon at the top of the grid. The "Edit Global Setting" dialog displays.
    • Double-click the row of the desired global setting. The "Edit Global Setting" dialog displays.
  3. Modify the setting as necessary or click Restore Default to reset the value to the default setting
  4. Click Save to save the changes and close the dialog box or Cancel to close without making changes.
