Download Merge Codes

You can access a list of merge codes directly from the Library. The list includes definitions and values of merge codes used in your organization, which can be copied and pasted into any new records uploaded to the Library.

Download a merge code list

  1. From the More Options More Options menu menu to the right of the Search bar, select Download Merge Codes List. The file will automatically begin downloading.
  2. Once you open the file, read the Instructions tab on the downloaded Microsoft Excel file before using the merge codes.
  3. Copy and paste relevant merge codes into any new records upload to the Library.

Add merge codes to a Data Entry Screen

  1. Go to Architecture > Document Types, and open a new or existing document type.
  2. Select an existing Data Entry Screen section or add a new one using the Toolkit.
  3. To enter an existing merge code to your document section, click Existing Code.
  4. Select one or more merge codes and click Select.
  5. (Optional) To delete any field that you've inserted, click X beside the field.
  6. (Optional) To edit a merge code or field you inserted, click Edit beside the field to display the Merge Code Properties dialog or Text Properties dialog, edit as desired, and then click Save.
  7. Note: When typing or pasting a merge code into content loaded to the library, add the << and >> symbols before and after the code.

  8. (Optional) Click and drag a field to the desired position to rearrange the order of the fields.
  9. Click Save.
