You can install a Modem Server on any system in your network that has Windows 2003/2000 and a fax board.

Local Modem Server and Remote Modem Servers

If a Modem Server is installed on the server, this system is referred to as the local Modem Server. If a Modem Server is installed on a different system than the Upland AccuRouteserver, this server is referred to as the Remote Modem Server.

You are required to install fax driver software on the system that has the modem server installed on it.

Multiple Remote Modem Servers

If you have multiple Remote Modem Servers, you can manage them all with one Telco connector. If you want to manage them with more than one Telco connector, you need to purchase a license for each additional Telco connector you want to add.

Tip: Upland AccuRoute supports several types of Telco configurations. These Telco configurations help you meet the requirements of your messaging environment.
