About Intelligent Capture Connector

The Upland Intelligent Capture (IC) connector has been developed to allow users to send and receive documents including metadata to and from the IC cloud-based application. With IC, users can take advantage of AI-enhanced OCR technology to classify documents, extract data, and deliver to IC-defined workflows, personal folders such as My Files, and fax.

The following connectors can be used for sending and receiving documents.

The IC Outbound connector is used to send documents and metadata to the IC environment where users can:

  • Access and utilize IC related document capture and processing features, for example, send a document and its metadata to a predefined workflow, sign into IC and complete the workflow.

The IC Inbound connector is used to retrieve documents and metadata from a IC workflow where users can:

  • Process documents on the AccuRoute Server and deliver to a non-IC destination, for example, Dropbox.

How it works

The IC Inbound connector monitors a specific step in a workflow for work items related to that step. The document and metadata associated with the step and work item are downloaded and an email destination is created on the AccuRoute server. The job is then managed by a rule configured by an Administrator to complete the inbound workflow requirements.
