Publishing
Publishing is an important part of the Adestra launch process; it prepares a campaign for launch by detecting links and preparing message content (such as applying boilerplates etc.), amongst other various processes. When a campaign is launched for the first time Adestra automatically publishes it, however when working with more complex campaigns manual publishing is necessary.

How to Publish a Campaign
You can publish a campaign by going to the Publish Only tab.
Uses of a Published Campaign
When making changes to published campaigns these changes are not immediately visible to recipients. This means you can internally test and perfect your campaigns, whilst the original is still in use. Upon re-publishing the changes will automatically take affect and will then become live for any further launches of that campaign.
Recurring Campaigns
Recurring campaigns are regularly launched, automatically, to a particular list. When in combination with the import manager or filter features, they can be used for sophisticated marketing programmes.
A published campaign allows you to make ad-hoc changes to the campaign, which will then be updated for the next launch.
Forms
Alongside the action of submitting a form there will likely be a campaign too. This will be sent out to whoever submitted the form—whether it is a 'thank you' for subscribing or a confirmation of preference changes, for example.
Any changes made to the published only campaign will then automatically update the campaign associated with the form.
Automation Programs
Automation programs use a 'Send Campaign' stage. This will only launch a campaign to a contact if they have landed on that stage, for that reason a published only campaign is required.
Any changes made to your campaign will automatically be updated in the automation program when republished, which will allow you to make small ad-hoc changes without having to pause the program.
API Transaction campaigns
Transaction campaigns can be published in Adestra to allow API launch calls.
Warning for Associations
If you're campaign is associated to an Automation program or conversion capture, for example, you will be notified that for any changes made to your campaign it will need to be re-published.
The notification will tell you what the campaign is associated to and give you a CTA to publish your changes.
Publications Tab
The Publications tab displays a list of records from each time the current campaign has been published. You can see the publish date, who published it and the number of launches of each publication.
When launching a campaign, Adestra automatically publishes it at the time. However, it will only publish on the first launch—if no further changes are made.
