Setting up call routing
-

-
Caller is directly connected to a specific phone number (for example, your headquarters or comment line).
-
Caller is auto-routed to their government representatives.
-
Caller is routed according to your supplied phone book.
-

You can access a built-in directory of state, local, and federal government legislators to contact or create a custom directory for your company or organization within Mobile Commons.
The caller wants to contact their representative via phone:
-
The caller dials in to the number provided and hears an audio prompt.
-
If the representative is unknown, the caller is asked to provide their zip code.
-
If the zip code spans multiple districts, the caller is asked to choose from a list.
-
The call is connected, and the caller leaves a message.
The caller wants to connect to mConnect via text messaging:
-
Create an opt-in path campaign with a short code or long code and keyword.
-
The caller texts the keyword to the code provided.
-
The conversation elicits or confirms the user's zip code or full address and verifies the names of their representatives.
-
The next response, of any kind, triggers a call to the legislator's office.
Before you can add a new mConnect, be sure to have the following call-routing elements in place:
-
Adding a recording, if you are going to leave a voice message
-
Adding a phone book, if you are routing calls to non-legislative numbers
