Project properties

A project's properties define its characteristics, such as its document type, style template, due date, and status. These properties can be included in the grid on the Created Documents page, the RFP Projects dashboard in Analytics, and reports.

Caution: Only project owners and users with the Manage Projects Created by Other Users application permission can access and edit project properties.

Note: The project's document type also displays the Project Properties dialog box, but cannot be changed.

Edit project properties

  1. From the project page, click the Properties button in the project header. The "Project Properties" page will display.
  2. In the Project Name field, edit the name of the project.
  3. Edit the Project Deadline.
  4. Select the Team Name that you want to assign this document or project to.
  5. Select a project Status. By default, the options are Won, Pending, or Lost.

Note: Project status options can be set in the Project Status drop-down type on either the Administration > Application Data > Dropdown Lists or Architecture > Dropdown Lists pages.

  6. Select a project Style Template. Once saved, the style will be applied to the project and remembered as the default style template when a new project is created.
  7. Enter a Project Value.
  8. Edit the Close Date.
  9. Enter the percent of probability that the opportunity will be closed in the Close Probability field. You do not need to enter the percentage symbol; it will be added when you tab to another field.
  10. Select the language and country that will determine the date format and currency using the Culture dropdown.
  11. Enter the Short Date Format merge codes included in the project documents. Short date merge codes are date merge codes modified by short date formatting codes. This format is the default format for date merge codes, so {{DateShort}}<<CallDate>>{{DateShort}} and <<CallDate>> will both be displayed using this format.
  12. Enter the Long Date Format merge codes included in the project documents. Long date merge codes are date merge codes modified by long date formatting codes. For example: {{DateLong}}<<CallDate>>{{DateLong}}.
  13. Enter the word or character that will be used as the Equivalent of 'and' in a Screen List Merge Code. The Selection Driven Content subsection (for example, Business Issues) you are adding will display in the merge code brackets (for example, <<BusinessIssuesList>>) when the content for this Selection Driven Content selection is edited in the library. The "and" (or equivalent) is used to separate two Business Issues or separates the last Business Issue in a series.
  14. Enter the word or character that will be used as the Equivalent of ',' (comma) in a Screen List Merge Code. The Selection Driven Content subsection (for example, Business Issues) you are adding will display in the merge code brackets (for example, <<BusinessIssuesList>>) when the content for this Selection Driven Content subsection is edited in the library. The "," (or equivalent) is used to separate a series of Business Issues.
  15. Enter any Comments to further identify the document or project.
  16. Select the Mark Project as Complete checkbox to indicate the project is finished.
  17. Click Save.
