Working with Composers

You can add, configure, enable/disable, and delete composers. See how below.

Adding a Composer

To add a Composer

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. Click the Compose component in the Component details pane. The Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Compose option in the Properties dialog box. All Composers in your server environment are listed.

  4. Click Add. The Add Composer Package dialog box appears.

  5. In the Server Address box, enter the computer name or the IP address of the server.  

  6. In the License key box, enter the license key for the new composer.

  7. Click OK to save your changes. The new composer is added to the list of composers. It is enabled by default.

Configuring a Composer

To configure a Composer

  1. Click the Compose component in the Component details pane. The Properties dialog box appears.

  2. Click the Compose option in the Properties dialog box. All Composers in your server environment are listed. (By default, the AccuRoute v2.3 installs two composers, one for General compose functions and one for OCR compose functions).

  3. Select the Composer you want to configure and click Properties. The Composer Package Properties dialog box appears.

  4. In the General dialog box, configure the following:

  5. Configure the Convert From and Convert To file types if necessary.

  6. In the Templates dialog box, select the template types this Composer should convert.

  7. Click OK and then OK again to save your changes.

Enabling or disabling a Composer

To enable or disable a composer

  1. To enable a Composer, check the box beside the Composer you want to enable. To disable a Composer, check the box beside the Composer you want to disable.

  2. Click OK to save your changes.

Note: If you disable a Composer while it is processing a job, the Composer will complete processing of the job. However, subsequent jobs in the queue are not processed by the disabled Composer.  

Deleting a Composer

To delete a Composer

Tip: Before you delete a Composer, write down the license key for that Composer. You can use the license key to add a local or remote Composer.

  1. Select the Composer from the list of Composers listed in the Compose pane.

  2. Click Delete. You are prompted to confirm that you want to delete the Composer.

  3. Click Yes and then OK to save your changes.
