Unsub Links

Note: from February 2024 both Google and Yahoo! will require bulk senders to their free domains (gmail.com, yahoo.com, aol.com, yahoo.co.uk, etc.) to include a clearly visible unsubscribe link in the message body.

It is inevitable that some of your recipients will want to opt-out from future emails, in which case they will need a link to unsubscribe from your campaign.

Often, the unsubscribe process is seen as a negative but it is important and, if handled correctly, can help you:

  • Comply with legislation.

  • Maintain your deliverability status.

  • Reduce the risk of complaints.

You can add an unsubscribe link from your campaign options or add an unsubscribe link using one of the content editors.

When a recipient unsubscribes from your campaign, they are removed from the mailing list and added to your campaign's Unsub List.

Tip: re-uploading a mailing list can result in unsubscribed recipients being added back into a mailing list. To avoid the risk that a recipient accidentally receives an email, you should associate your unsub lists with the corresponding mailing lists.
Note: mailings from DKIM enabled accounts sent via Adestra support one-click unsubscribe in accordance with RFC8058.
