Persona Variant Campaigns

Creating personas allows you to send variants of your campaign content tailored to your personas.

Create a campaign and select a target list as usual. When you reach the Compose step, you will be able to add persona variants.

Adding persona variants to a campaign

On the compose step:

1. Compose your default message. This is the content that will become the base message for each variant.

2. Press the Create Persona Variants button.

3. Select a persona group and press the okay button. Adestra will copy your default message to each persona in the selected persona group.

   Note: the persona group must include enough personas to create variants.

4. Select a persona variant from the personas listed across the top of the page.

   If you have many personas in the group, use the arrow icons to scroll through the personas.

5. Press the Create HTML for Variant button.

6. Edit your content to suit that persona, e.g. add/change images.

   How you edit your content will depend on the editor you selected when creating your default message (email editor, html editor, etc.).

7. Save your changes and return to the variant campaign.

8. Use the Variant Options button to:

   1. Alter the subject line for this variant.

   2. Alter the from address for this variant.

   3. Alter the reply address for this variant.

   4. Alter the forward reply details for this variant.

   5. Change your unsubscribe handling for this variant, e.g. direct unsubscribes to a different unsub form.

9. Press the Next button to return to the variant campaign.

10. Repeat for each persona type.

    Tip: each variant will display a notice that it is showing the default content until it is edited so you can keep track of which variants need updating.

    

11. When you have finished, proceed to the Launch step of your campaign.
