About Adapters

• AutoClassifier adapters are components that enable content to be crawled, annotated, and updated.  

• Adapters require that at least one Adapter Crawler be installed.

Adapter Crawler vs. Connector

Adapters are a kind of "plug-in" that brings all AutoClassifier capabilities such as classification, NLP, etc. to external source systems (Elasticsearch, NetDocuments, etc.),

Adapters:

• Do not require re-indexing source systems data
• Automatically enumerate - based on configured filters - the information in the source systems
• Automatically attach additional metadata to the original source system items.
