Rendering a Mailing

After selecting a target audience and adding content, you can run a render test to validate how messages look in multiple desktop, web and mobile clients prior to sending, as well as pre-screen messages to highlight potential deliverability challenges.

Once you have checked your rendering, you can run a seed test (depending on mailing options) or schedule your mailing.

Run a Render Test

Note: you will only be able to run a render test if you have completed the content tab with no errors or warnings.
  1. Select the rendering tab.
  2. Select the recipient and list to be used for the rendering test, if applicable.
  3. Press the run render test button to request the rendering report. When clicked, this button will turn gray until results are viewed.

Tip: you can navigate away from the tab, e.g. to set up the delivery schedule for your mailing, while results are being generated and return to view results.
  4. Press the refresh results button to obtain the latest previews.
  5. Select a preview from the results to view how your email appears in that app.

Note: previews are grouped by web app (e.g. Gmail on Chrome), mobile app (e.g. Samsung Mail), and desktop app (e.g. Outlook 2016).
  6. Use the next button to proceed to the next step of the workflow or the back button if you need to edit your content based on how it renders.

Note: after you have viewed the rendering results, the run render test button will become available again to request a new report.

Requesting a new version of the rendering report will replace previous rendering results for that mailing on this tab.

You can access all of the previous results  through the reports tab.
