Associate Pay Codes to Work Types
Pay codes are used for payroll processing. Pay codes determine the type and rate of compensation for users when determining payroll. These pay codes can be applied for regular, overtime, double overtime, leave time and charges. Associating pay codes to process normal time, overtime, double overtime and leave time ensure each employee is properly compensated.
Pay Codes functions similar to Accounting ; instead of linking the transaction to a specific account, the payroll is processed for specific pay codes related to the Task against which paid Time has been performed.
Note: The steps performed in this article override the global Pay Codes settings.
- From the Icon Bar click Setup

- From the Navigation Menu click Work to expand the corresponding menu.
- From the Work menu items, click Work Types.
- Select the Work Type you wish to access by clicking on it's name.
- From the Work Type Edit Navigate to the Pay Codes tab.
- Upon the Pay Codes page displaying:
- Click Browse
located beside the Regular Time to select the appropriate Pay Code from the Pay Code list page.
- Click Browse
located beside the Overtime to select the appropriate Pay Code from the Pay Code list page.
- Click Browse
located beside the Double overtime to select the appropriate Pay Code from the Pay Code list page.
- Click Browse
located beside the Payroll Charges to select the appropriate Pay Code from the Pay Code list page.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
