About Fax Hold and Release

In order to use the Fax Hold and Release button for the Upland AccuRouteEmbedded Device Client, you need to create a new property dictionary item. This property allows a device to filter the Fax Release pending jobs based on the fax number - as it is listed in the Destination Translation Table (DTT) - and pin selected at the device. Once you configure the new property, you can configure the Active Volume List.

Creating the Fax Hold and Release Property Dictionary Item

You can create the Fax Hold and Release property dictionary item by using the Server Administrator > Configuration node.

To create the prDestinationFaxNumber property:

1. Click Start > All Programs > Upland AccuRoute > AccuRoute Server Administrator.

2. In the console tree, expand the Server Administrator and navigate to Configuration.

3. Right-click Properties.

4. Select New > Property Dictionary. The Property Dictionary Item page opens.

5. In the Name text box, enter the metadata field name.

6. In the Label text box, enter a suitable label.

7. In the Instructions text box, enter any needed instructions.

8. Verify that the Type is set to Text.

9. In the Mappings section, click New to open the Property Definition page.

10. Select Property Name option and enter: prDestinationFaxNumber

11. Click OK and then OK again to create the property.

Configuring the Active Volume List

You can configure the Active Volume List by using the Server Administrator > Configuration node.

To configure the Active Volume List

1. Click Start > All Programs > Upland AccuRoute > AccuRoute Server Administrator.

2. In the console tree, expand the Server Administrator and navigate to Configuration > Volume Lists.

3. Double-click the Active volume list to open the Active properties page.

4. Click the Indexing tab.

5. In the Properties to Index section, click Add. The Index Properties page opens.

6. From the Property drop-box, select the same property that you created in the previous procedure.

7. Click OK to close the Index Properties page.

8. In the Property Search Groups section, click Add. In the Name text box, enter: prDestinationFaxNumber

9. Select Add, then select prDestinationFaxNumber. Click OK and then OK again.

10. Click OK to close the Active page.
