Creating a Volume List
You can create a Volume List by using the Server Administrator > Volume Lists node. A valid license is required.
To create a Volume List
-
On the Server Administrator tree, right-clickVolumeLists>New Volume List using.
-
From the drop-down menu, select an option to indicate where you want to create the Volume List.
The options are ObjectArchive, FileShare, SharePoint, NetDocuments and WorkSite. (You will see the WorkSite option only if Autonomy iManage WorkSite is installed on your system.) -
The content of the next screen varies according to the selected repository. If you selected ObjectArchive, the server opens the New Volume List page. If you selected any other DMS option, the Volume List property page opens titled with the DMS name (such as SharePoint).
-
If you are configuring Object Archive, go to step 5.
For any other DMS type, configure the Volume List property:-
If you are configuring a DMS, click Configure and continue configuring as necessary.
For example, when creating a Volume List in SharePoint, click Configure and follow the DMS-specific configuration process. (You are presented with the same dialog as when creating an AccuRoute Connector for DMS). Next, you are prompted to create a Default Profile. These configurations are necessary as they are the basis for how and where items will be stored in the DMS.
-
Note: You will not be able to click OK and close the Property dialog until you have configured the DMS and created the default profile.
-
Next, configure the DMS Servers section. By default, 'localhost' is added to the list of DMS servers. This is the system the AccuRoute Server will use to process DMS API calls for improved scalability.
-
Click New to open the DMS API Server page.
-
In the Server text box, enter the server name. This is the name of the host where the DMS Libraries are installed for use (The machine can be configured with the DMS Libraries by installing the AccuRoute Connector for DMS).
-
Click Indexing to open the Indexing tab.
-
Select from the Property drop-box the message properties for indexing.
-
Click OK to add the properties and close the Indexed Properties page. The Volume List appears in the details pane.
- Continue with the next procedure, Adding Volume Lists Connector.
