Enable Mentioning in Comments & Notes

You can manage the Enable Mentioning in Comments & Notes setting from the System Configuration page (Setup > Organization > System > System Setup). When turned on, it allows users to mention others in Comments and Notes using the "@" symbol.

Mentioned users receive email notifications—provided an email address is saved in their user profile—helping ensure timely communication and effective collaboration.

Note: By default, Enable Mentioning in Comments & Notes is turned on. Master Administrators can enable or disable this setting at any time to control whether mentioning functionality is available across the organization.

Caution:

  • The change(s) made on this page will only be visible upon the User's next login.
  • Only the Master Administrator User Profile has access to the System Configuration page.
  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
  3. From the menu click System.
  4. From the System page click the System Setup button to access the System Setup page.
  5. From the System Setup page, click the System Config button.
  6. Select the Enable Mentioning in Comments & Notes option.

    Note: By default, Enable Mentioning in Comments & Notes is checked. Clear the selection box to disable the feature.

  7. Click Yes to confirm.
