Regular Fields
When creating or modifying a Work Item Workflow, you have the option to incorporate 13 Regular Fields.

User Defined Fields
User defined fields are custom fields you create to track information specific to modules, such as Charges, Clients, Client Contacts, Client POs, Clients, Groups, Leave Request, Milestones, Portfolios, Products, Programs, Projects, Roles, Tasks, Users and Work Types.
They can also be included in the layout of Project Status Templates, Workflows such as Expense and Work Items.
