Part of successfully importing items/objects into PSA is the PSA Microsoft Excel Import template (in .xlsx), which contains the necessary predefined tabs which allow you to specify the item/object properties to import.

This article is designed to facilitate the smooth import of Clients into PSA using the Excel Import Template (.xlsx). It outlines the available fields, offering administrators concise descriptions to populate their Excel templates effectively. Caution: Please be advised that it is recommended to fill all fields, even if no changes are intended. Leaving fields blank may result in some values reverting to their default settings.

Clients Property Import Fields Definitions
Tenrox_Excel_Process_Status Import status (populated by the system after the Client import is processed)
UniqueId - Upon Creation: The Unique ID of a new Client is automatically populated by the system once the creation process is completed.
- Upon Update: The Unique ID of Clients being updated must be entered by you, ensuring it matches the one initially generated by the system during the initial import. For further details on how to extract this Unique ID refer to Create a Report to View Unique Ids.
Note: Do not edit this column if you are creating a new Client using Excel Import.
Name * Defines the Name of the client (required field)
Client_Parent_Name Defines the Name of the client under which a new client is created/client being modified or moved
Id Defines the client's ID
Department Defines the client's Department
Email Defines the client's Email
Address1 Defines the client's Address Line 1
Address2 Defines the client's Address Line 2
City Defines the client's City
Zip_Code Defines the client's Zip/Postal code.
Account_Executive_Logon_Name Defines the client's Account Executive's Logon Name
Account_Executive_Last_Name Defines the client's Account Executive's Last Name
Account_Executive_First_Name Defines the client's Account Executive's First Name
Is_Placeholder Defines whether or not the Client is a placeholder

Is_Suspended Defines whether or not the Client is suspended

Division Defines the client's Division
State_Code Defines the client's State Code.

Invoice_Override_Global_Number Defines whether or not the Global Invoice Number will be overridden for the client

Invoice_Number_Prefix Defines the client's Invoice number prefix
Note: Invoice_Override_Global_Number must be set to 1 (Yes).
Invoice_Current_Number Defines the client's Current Invoice number
Note: Invoice_Override_Global_Number must be set to 1 (Yes).
Invoice_Enforce_Workflow Defines whether or not a default Workflow is specified
Note: Enter 1/0 for Yes/No.
Invoice_WorkflowMap_Name Defines the client's Default Workflow if Invoice_Enforce_Workflow is set to 1.
Invoice_Overridable Defines whether or not the default Workflow can be overridden at the invoice level
Note: Enter 1/0 for Yes/No.
Invoice_Include_Billable_Time Defines whether or not Billable Time is included in the client's Invoice
Note: Enter 1/0 for Yes/No.
Invoice_Include_Billable_Items This field has been removed from the user interface.

Invoice_Include_Billable_Expenses Defines whether or not Billable Expenses are included in the client's Invoice
Note: Enter 1/0 for Yes/No.
Invoice_Include_Billable_Charges Defines whether or not Billable Charges are included in the client's Invoice
Note: Enter 1/0 for Yes/No.
Invoice_Include_SplitBilling_Projects This field has been removed from the user interface.

Invoice_Include_Time_Entry_Notes This field has been removed from the user interface.
