Filter the List of Associated Projects to a Portfolio

This article details how to filter the list of Associated Projects to a Portfolio.

  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Work to expand the corresponding menu.
  3. From the Work menu items, click Portfolios.
  4. Click a portfolio name from the list to open the Portfolio Edit page.
  5. Click the Projects tab to display a list of projects associated with the portfolio.
  6. Click the Filter link to open the Project List Filter dialog box.
  7. From the Status section, select either Active or Suspended to filter the projects by status; by default, both the Active and Suspended selection boxes are selected to display both the suspended and active projects.
    1. Select the Active selection box to display only the active projects
    2. Select the Suspended selection box to display only the suspended projects
  8. From the State Attribute section, select the state properties for filtering the projects; by default, all the states are selected for the projects. The following State properties are available:
    1. Initial: displays the projects that are created; mutually exclusive with the Final property
    2. Draft: displays the projects that are marked as a draft
    3. Requested: displays the projects that are marked as requested and can be reviewed
    4. Selected: displays the projects marked as selected
    5. Approved: displays the projects that are marked as approved; mutually exclusive with the Rejected property
    6. Rejected: displays the projects that are marked as rejected; mutually exclusive with the Approved, Execution, On Hold, Completed and Cancelled properties
    7. Funded: displays the projects that are funded; the Approved check box is also selected
    8. On Hold: displays the projects that are put on hold; mutually exclusive with the Execution, Rejected, Completed and Cancelled properties
    9. In Execution: displays the project requests that become active projects, the Approved and Funded check boxes are also selected; mutually exclusive with the On Hold, Rejected, Completed and Cancelled properties.
    10. Completed: displays the projects that are completed; mutually exclusive with the Execution, On Hold, Rejected and Cancelled properties
    11. Final: displays the projects in their final state (archived); mutually exclusive with the Initial property
    12. Cancelled: displays the projects that are cancelled; mutually exclusive with the Execution, On Hold, Rejected and Completed properties.

      Note: The attributes are used solely for filtering the list of projects.

  9. Click the Save link to save the filter settings and then the Close link to close the Project List Filter dialog box.

    Note: The filter settings are stored for the logged user and portfolio.
