Modify a User's Calendar

A calendar refers to a block of time that defines the individual's working hours during a specified interval. Calendars define a work period in different ways: Working, Non-working, Holiday, etc. After changes are made, you can click Update Interval to commit the changes.

This article details how to define a User's Calendar.

  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
  3. From the available options select Users.
  4. Upon the Users list page displaying, click the name of the User you wish to edit, to access the User Edit page.

    Tip: You may wish to narrow your Users list so that you retrieve just the right amount of information you need. To do so you can perform a search. Select a search criterion from the list of available search criteria and then enter a corresponding value in the Search box. Click the Search icon to narrow down the Users list.   5. Upon the User Edit page displaying, expand the Employment menu item.
  6. From the available options, click Calendar.
  7. Upon the associated Calendar page displaying, click the name of the associated Calendar located in the right pane.
  8. The left pane will display the selected Calendar
  9. You can navigate through weeks, months and years using the arrows at the calendar's top and the month / year options.
  10. Click on the date(s) to select them.

    Note: Note the current settings, as explained by the legend: white is Working, blue is Non-working, yellow is Holiday; a small icon of a user with an exclamation mark (!) beside them means Overload, and after any changes are committed through Update Interval, and modified dates show the Modified icon.

  11. Right Mouse click the date(s) to access the context menu.
  12. Make a selection from the following options:
    1. Update Date(s): opens the Update selected days dialog box where you can update any previous changes applied to the date.
    2. Reset: Resets any previous changes applied to the date.
    3. Default working Time: Sets the working time of a date to default.
    4. Non Working Time: Sets the day as non-working.
    5. Reset Overload: To delete overload hours for a particular day, select Reset overload, then Apply.
    6. Reset Overhead: To delete overhead hours for a particular day, select Reset overhead, then Apply.

Update interval

Clicking Update interval button will open the Update selected days dialog box where you can update any previous changes applied to the date.

  1. From the Set Selected Dates to section, make your selection:
    1. Default working Time: Sets the working time of a date to default.
    2. Non Working Time: Sets the day as non-working.
    3. The following working time [00:00] hours
      1. Overload [00:00] hours/day
      2. Overhead [00:00] hours/day

        Note: The Overload and Overhead [00:00] hours/day are available upon choosing the The following working time [00:00] hours selection box.

  2. When you are finished making changes, click Apply.
  3. Click Close to close the dialog box.
