Timesheet Setup
To set up Timesheets, perform the following:
- Set up the fundamentals, including Users, Leave Times, Holidays, Overtime Policies, Timesheet Views and Notifications.
- Setting up the Timesheet Templates, including the Default settings, Assignments, Views, Options, Rules and Reminders.
- Setting up Timesheet Workflow Roles to allow managers to approve and reject timesheets.
- Setting up the Timesheet Workflows to allow managers to view and assign timesheet states and tasks, as well as create tasks and assignments.
- Setting up the Leave Request Workflows.
- You can opt to use the new My Timesheet by either:
- Adding selected Users to the New Timesheet list. For further details refer to Adding users to the New Timesheet list.
- Enabling the use of the new my Timesheet at the global level by selecting the Enforce use of new Timesheet for all Users option available within the System Configuration page (Setup > Organization > System > System Setup). For further details refer to
- Entering time against tasks and assignments, as well as submitting timesheets.

The steps for setting up and configuring Timesheet Templates are:
- General: Define the basic settings such as the Name, Period Type, Start date...
- Assignments: Assign Template to User(s), Sites(s) Resource Type(s)...
- Setup: Choose what to display and how: Layout, columns and rows, summaries...
- Options: Overtime (global), Documents and Notes, Copy Timesheet...
- Rules: Enforce minimum and maximum hours, Notes and Entries
- Reminders: Setup Reminders to complete, approve/reject and escalate Timesheets.
