Adjust User Exempt Period

This article provides step-by-step instructions for administrators on how to locate and adjust a user’s exempted period in the Timesheet module.

If a user reports seeing the warning message “Warning! No Timesheet exists for this period” when trying to access their timesheet, it may be due to an active exemption. By reviewing and updating the user’s entry in the Exempt List, you can restore access to the correct timesheet period and ensure accurate timesheet tracking.

Note: You cannot assign more than one template to the same object type at a given time. If there are overlapping dates, priority is applied to determine which template is used.

The Timesheet Template and Timesheet Exempt Template assignment precedence (from highest to lowest) is:

  1. User
  2. Security Profile
  3. Group
  4. Resource Type
  5. Title
  6. Site
  7. Default Template

Example: Alyssa belonging to Edutraining Group is assigned to a regular Timesheet Template for a given Period. Edutraining Group is assigned to the Exempt Template for the same Period. In this case Alyssa will not be exempt for that Period as the User object has higher precedence over the Group.
