Modify a User’s Security Profile

Security profiles control a user's access to PSA through a set of Components and permissions. The combination of Components and permissions that are included in a specific Security Profile sets limits on the user's view of data.

This article details how to change a user’s Security Profile.

  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
  3. From the available options select Users.
  4. Upon the Users list page displaying, click the name of the User you wish to edit, to access the User Edit page.

    Tip: You may wish to narrow your Users list so that you retrieve just the right amount of information you need. To do so you can perform a search. Select a search criterion from the list of available search criteria and then enter a corresponding value in the Search box. Click the Search icon to narrow down the Users list.   5. Upon the Settings Details displaying, click the Security Profile box to view the available options.
  6. Select a security profile, e.g. Project Manager from Security Profile list.
  7. Click Save to apply your changes.
  8. Click Back to return to the previous page.
