Upland AccuRoute 6.3 Release Notes 2019

Compose Profiles > Preprocessing Settings

Administrators have more Preprocessing settings for documents with footnotes, large PDFs, and documents produced by plotter devices instead of printers. The following settings are now part of the Compose Profiles > Preprocessing settings family.

  • Detect Footnotes
  • Use Optimized Processing for Large Files (PDFs greater than 100 pages)
  • Aggressive Text Extraction

Device Client > MyMessages

Administrators can set up MyMessges for Device and WebApps client users. This enables users to select their messages, attachments including faxes, and print from a device or web client. In addition, users can run reports about their print jobs and view a history of their activity.

Filescan Connector > Filescan Folder Properties

As an Administrator, you can determine which Filescan folders need to be monitored, how many and how fast documents are processed, and when the processing takes place. Use the following properties to effectively manage Filescan monitoring and more.

  • Enable all or specific Filescan folders – Use to turn on/off folder monitoring by the Filescan connector for all or selected Filescan folders.
  • Description – Use to describe the Filescan folder added to a Filescan connector.
  • Rate Control – Use to specify the number of jobs and how fast to process those jobs in a Filescan folder by the Filescan connector.
  • Time Control – Use to set time and week days the Filescan connector can process documents from an active Filescan folder.

Folders > Printing From Folder

Need to print documents from your virtual folders at a device? No problem with the new Print from Folder button!

Administrators can provide device users the ability to print documents from virtual folders supported by the Upland AccuRoute server. The Allow printing from folder property is applied to specific folders that device users can access and print from.  A Print from Folder button appears on the device home screen that allows device users to select and print documents.

Group-specific Time Zones (Cover Pages, Fax Top Line, and Email Notifications)

As companies grow their presence domestically and internationally there is a need to show time zones specific to a group’s location on cover pages, fax top lines and email notifications. Administrators can enable group-specific time zones by using the Group > Location setting and Job > System TimeZoneName property.

NetDocuments > DMS Allow Partial Profiling Property

For NetDocuments DMS users only

A new partner has joined your company and will start soon! The Paralegals and Administrative staff need to scan documents for the new partner to a Client/Matter workspace folder, but do not have all of the required profile attributes available. Sound familiar? To allow partial profiling to occur, simply add the DMS Allow Partial Profiling property to your DMS routing rules and documents get delivered even if some of the profile attributes are missing. Flexible solutions for today's fast-paced workflows!

NetDocuments > OAuth New Refresh Token Issuance

OAuth New Refresh Token Issuance

AccuRoute in conjunction with NetDocuments support the OAuth (Open Authorization) New Refresh Token Issuance for enhanced security and flexibility.

NetDocuments > Reusable Paper Document Cover Sheets

For NetDocuments DMS users only

You can create a profile for a document by creating a paper document cover sheet in NetDocuments and reuse the cover sheet as often as you need to.

Running the Server with Limited Administrator Rights

Companies have to manage Administrator rights to their technology resources effectively. Giving everyone in an organization Administrator rights is risky and can potentially result in a huge IT security breach and other technical issues. Administrators can now manage Administrator rights to the Upland AccuRouteServer services effectively by creating groups and user accounts with limited Administrator rights.

Scan to Folder > Authorizing OneDrive Cloud Storage Folders

For Device Client users only - OAuth Implementation at the MFP

You are at your MFP (MultiFunction Printer) and ready to scan documents to your OneDrive folders! What's next? If you are a first-time user of the Scan to Folder option at the device, you will need to authenticate who you are by entering your login credentials and then authorize cloud storage access to your folders. You can now authenticate and authorize at the device level with the Scan to Folder option. If changes are made to your login credentials or access to the folders has expired then you must reauthenticate and reauthorize at the device.

For WebApps users only - OAuth Implementation at the MFP

You can authenticate and authorize access to your cloud storage folders by using WebApps > Preferences > Authorizations or at the MFP device. If you used WebApps to authenticate and authorize access to your folders then you are not required to do this at the MFP device. You will only need to reauthenticate and reauthorize at the device if your login credentials have changed and access to the folders has expired.

Note: The Scan to Folder > Authenticate and Authorize process applies to all Upland AccuRoute-supported MFP devices and cloud storage services. OneDrive is the latest cloud storage service added to the process.

Server Administrator Secure Access

In response to growing Data Security concerns and Compliance with Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Administrators can restrict the use of the Server Administrator MMC (Microsoft Management Console). Administrators use permissions to limit what other administrator or power user groups can see and do in the Server Administrator.

Administrators can require other administrator groups to log on, grant or limit the following permissions.

  • Allow Viewing Documents
  • Manage Groups
  • Manage Server Access Features
  • Manage View Document Settings

WebApps > My Files > Download Multiple Files

Press and hold that CTRL key and click as many files as you need to download! Multiple files on the My Files list can be selected and downloaded all at once into one Zip file. Open that Zip file, extract, and save to your preferred location.

WebApps > Redaction

The Upland AccuRoute Server, Content Monitor (CM) Component, Profiles, and WebApps join forces in data loss protection and prevention (DLP) with redaction! As an integral part of a company’s DLP strategy, redaction is used to obscure content for legal and security purposes. Administrators can enable redaction for WebApps Security Station and Content Review users by determining which of the following redaction settings work best for their document workflows.

CM Profile level

  • Allow redaction of any content - allows Security Station and/or Content Review users to select any redaction content.

CM Profile Content level

  • Allow redaction - review preselected redacted content. User can choose to redact or remove the redaction.Click to redact is the default.
  • Redact - review auto-redacted (obscured) content areas. User cannot choose to remove redaction.
  • Suggest redaction - review preselected redacted content. User can choose to remove or redact content.Click to remove is the default.

WebApps > Server Dashboard

No more guesswork about your server activity with the Server Dashboard!

The Server Dashboard is a WebApps tool that Administrators can use to monitor the status of their server configuration in a live environment. It monitors and displays a server’s services, connectors, queues, compose engine states and more in a color-coded format.

  • Green - server activity is optimal.
  • Yellow - server activity is degraded.
  • Red - server activity is experiencing issues.

Connect, authorize, and configure your NetDocuments worfklows with rules, user-defined, and system job properties

For NetDocuments DMS Administrators only

The NetDocuments connector is used to route documents between the server and the NetDocuments document management system (DMS). In addition, you must authorize server access to a NetDocuments account by specifying your login credentials and the appropriate vault the server will have access to. Using rules, user-defined and system job properties, workflow configurations can also be set up to send documents to a variety of NetDocuments resources like cabinets, folders, filters, and work spaces.

WebApps and iManage Work Web Integration

Administrators can configure WebApps for iManage Work Web integration which enables Document Management System (DMS) users to profile documents and generate Routing Sheet document numbers and IDs for use on iManage Work servers.

OneDrive with Limited Permissions

For Microsoft Azure Active Directory Administrators only

Minimize the risk of unauthorized access and use of your company's applications! Administrators can now set up OneDrive and the Upland AccuRoute server application with limited permissions by using Microsoft Azure Active Directory.

Ricoh Android Device SSL Configuration

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a standard security protocol for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client. It allows sensitive data to be transmitted securely. Browsers and secured web servers have the capability of interacting with each other, but require an SSL Certificate to establish a secure connection. SSL configuration instructions between the AccuRoute Server and Ricoh (Android) device are now available.

Secure Print Connector > Secure Print

Feel secure about printing your confidential documents with Secure Print!

Administrators can now set up secure printing for device client users. This enables users to submit documents containing sensitive information to a Print Manager resource like Brooksnet Remote Print Manager (RPM).   The Secure Print connector processes and submits the documents to a  delivery queue. The user then logs in to the device and selects the MyPrints button. A list of print jobs appears for the user ready to select and print.

For AccuRoute Desktop and NetDocuments users only

AccuRoute Desktop and NetDocuments Error Message Appears After Upgrade

  • The following error message appears when attempting to profile a document after completing a Server and Desktop Client upgrade.

"Failed to profile documents. An internal consistency check has failed."

AccuRoute in conjunction with NetDocuments support the OAuth (Open Authorization) New Refresh Token Issuance for enhanced security and flexibility.

An upgrade to the AccuRoute Server, Desktop, and Queue from a previous installation requires a reauthorization of NetDocuments.

Note: This resolution only applies to users that are upgrading from a previous installation.

Upland AccuRoute/SharePoint Site Upload Scan Integrated User Interface

  • The Upload Scan application pages now use a dynamic reference to the SharePoint master page styles. Any enhancements to the master page styles will automatically be reflected in the application pages based on the SharePoint version utilized. For example, if you are using SharePoint 2016 then you will see the SharePoint 2016 styles applied to the integrated UI.

Duplicate User Name and Password Job Properties appear in System Job Properties group list

  • The UserName and Password job properties appeared twice on the System job properties group list. The duplicate entries had replaced the AccountUserName and AccountPassword System job properties. The duplicate entries have been removed and corrected. The System job properties group list shows the UserName, Password, AccountUserName, and AccountPassword job properties.
  • There are two types of job properties.
    • The system properties listed above are predefined properties that are part of the server installation. They can be applied to your workflow configurations whereby user/account login credentials are required.
    • User properties are custom properties that an Administrator creates and applies to specific users or user group workflow configurations.

Note: This fix is related to the System job properties group list only.

PDF Documents fail to convert to TIF Format

  • Some complex PDF documents that are faxed fail to convert to TIF format during Compose processing due to Ghostscript error. The following error appears in the Server Administrator Journal: Compose: Conversion failed in Ghostscript - *.TIF. An upgrade to the latest Ghostscript 9.27 version has resolved this issue.

Note: Ghostscript 9.27 is available with the Fall 2019 release and does not require any additional setup by the Administrator.

Ricoh (Android) Device Sleep Mode, Auto Logout, and UI Inactivity Timer Conflict

  • The Ricoh (Android) device goes to sleep when inactive and automatic logout does not take place due to Sleep Mode, Auto Logout, and UI Inactivity Timer conflict.

  • Steps for adding an Office 365 SharePoint connector are available in Administrator Help for those workflow configurations that include Office 365 and SharePoint.

AccuRoute PDF Printer Client uses BlackIce print drivers instead of NitroPDF

  • The Print to AccuRoute functionality remains the same for AccuRoute Desktop and WebApps Clients and the Outlook New Email Form.
  • As a result of this enhancement, the following command line must be used during an AccuRoute to Printer for the Web Silent Mode installation.
    • setup.exe /s /v" /qn ALLUSERS=1 ACCUROUTE_SERVER=http://ARServer/AccuRoute /L*v C:\Debug\printsetup.log"
  • As a result of this enhancement, the following command line must be used during a WebApps Client Silent Mode installation.

    • setup.exe /s /v" /qn ALLUSERS=1 MESSAGE_SERVER=<accuroute_servername> SERVICE_ACCOUNT=<username> SERVICE_PWD=<password> /L*v C:\Debug\printsetup.log"

  • Upland AccuRoute 6.4 supports upgrading from the following versions: 5.0, 5.1, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3

AR-18006 - Ricoh (Android) Device Auto Logout, Sleep Mode, and Scan Preview

  • If the Ricoh (Android) device during Scan Preview becomes inactive and goes into Sleep mode, the device does not automatically log out the user. It will remain in Scan Preview after the Sleep mode timer has expired. For security purposes, it is recommended that users exit Scan Preview and log out if they cannot complete their scanning tasks at the device.

AR-18032 - Ricoh (Android) Device Properties > Display Mode > WSVGA

  • The Wide Super VGA (WSVGA) display mode option located on the Ricoh Device Properties > Advanced dialog box is not applicable to Ricoh (Android) devices. We recommend that Ricoh (Android) device administrators ignore the WSVGA option during setup.

AR-18450 - Server Upgrade RuleSets Conflict

For Administrators planning an upgrade

  • Significant enhancements were made to RuleSets in the Server upgrade v5.1. During an upgrade there is a conflict between previous and current RuleSets tables and migrations.

AR-18701 - Multiple Redaction Types in the same Content Monitor Profile

When configuring a Content Monitor profile with Redaction, it is important to set each redaction type to be the same for each content rule. Mixing multiple redaction types; for example, Auto Redaction with Suggested Redaction in the same Content Monitor profile is not supported.
